I MISS Blogging! :-( & top 2

Hi! Remember me? Probably not haha. Seriously - I miss you all! I don't get to have my daily fix of blogging anymore because school has been keeping me crazy busy aka taken over my life. Ahhh! And really, who wants to read about my boring school life? That's why I haven't posted anything. Don't worry though - I didn't forget about you ladies! Thanks to all of you who wished me a happy birthday! It really meant a lot :-) I will probably do a birthday post either Wednesday or Thursday.

Since Mrs. Taylor used my idea for a Top 2 this week, I just had to take time out to participate :-) Thanks Tay!!

This week's Top 2 is Top 2 hair products. Since I'm a girl who is at the salon every 2 months or so, I should know about some good products right?

1. It's a 10 (aka - it's amazing)
This little product does 10 things in 1:

1. Repairs dry damaged hair
2. Adds shine
3. Smoothes & controls frizz
4. Seals & protects hair color
5. De-tangles
6. Prevents split ends
7. Stops hair breakage
8. Creates Silkiness
9. Enhances natural body
10. Flat iron spray & thermal protector

My stylist uses it every time I get my hair done so I decided to buy some for myself. It smells so good and really makes your hair so soft. I have definitely noticed a difference since using this on a daily basis. It lasts so long so because this product in the bottle is thick. When half of it is gone, just add water, shake it and you have about 1/4 more :-) You can buy it here.

2. Rusk Sensories Bright Shampoo
If you get highlights like me, you'll want this:
This special shampoo erases yellow or brassy tones on highlighted or blonde-tinted hair. So you know after you have highlights for a couple of weeks and they start to seem a little orangish? This shampoo helps for that not to happen :-) It is also specially formulated with color-enhancing chamomile and lavender to brighten your hair - no one wants dull highlights! You can buy it here. I only use it every other day.

Hair.

I'm having a hair dilemma.

I read in Glamour Magazine the other day that I should only be washing my hair 2-3 times a week, TOPS!

I sort of knew this but only 3 times? Come on!

I go to the gym 4 times a week so right there, I'm washing my hair 4 times because I get really sweating and not washing it would just be gross and I would stink. I like to smell good thank you very much.

Also, I have the type of hair that likes to get greasy after one day.
I do not condition my roots or let the condition sit on my head for more than 30 seconds but my hair STILL continues to look limp and blah after not washing a day.

The only time I can get away with skipping washing is if I just had my hair freshly highlighted or I go the pony tail route which I don't mind because I could always wash my bangs and make it look presentable.

I've tried baby powder, and yes, it does work, but not for the entire day.
I've also tried dry shampoo but I forget the brand I used and I didn't see a difference in my hair what.so.ever.

I want to keep my hair healthy and washing, blow-drying and straightening all the time is damaging it so I need a solution.

Here's my question for you ladies:

If you're dealing with this, what are you solutions for not having greasy hair or what do you do to your hair so that you don't have to wash it every day?

Do you use dry shampoo? If so, what kind? Names of brands, please.

If you have perfect hair that's on your side and you only have to wash it 2 to 3 days a week, then I'm pretty much jealous of you but share your tips anyways.

Thanks so much for your help!

Hair.

I finally got my hair done today. (I've been getting highlights for at least 5 years now.) It has been 2 months and my roots, in my opinion, were terrible. (I'm probably exaggerating but when it comes to my hair, I stay on top of things lol) I really enjoy getting my hair done. It's relaxing to me. I got my roots touched up and about 1 1/2 inches cut off.

Before:
Horrible!

After:

No roots :)

Please excuse my non-photogenic-ness (yes, I made up this word)
tonight. I really do take better pics, just not tonight lol.

And incase you wanted to see my with
brown hair (my natural hair color) here ya go:
(I decided to dye it back to normal for awhile)
Me and my friend Kristin, New Year's 2008

If you like me better with brown hair, that's ok.
I don't but we're all entitled to our opinions :)
