Top 2 Tuesday - Splurges

This week's Top 2 Tuesday is all about SPLURGES!
Head over to Taylor's blog to join in on the fun!

I take pride in saving money and not just spending it because I have it but there are just some things that are worth splurging on.

1) My hair.

This may sound crazy, but sometimes I wish I was a boy because I would have so much more money lol. Since I'm not fond of my brunette hair, I get my hair partially highlighted every 6-8 weeks and a haircut every other visit. When I leave there, it's around $145 (haircut & tip included). Since I'm pretty blond now, I have to use violet shampoo to tone down the golden colors (I don't like when it looks like that) and that's not cheap. I buy my hair products ULTA. I love getting my hair done but when I have to pay for it, it really stresses me out lol. This is probably why I went dark for 2 yrs straight (to save money & my hair). I was blond when I was young and then all the sudden, my hair turns brown. Why hair, Why?! Ahhh, the price to be blond!

2. Target.

This isn't necessarily an "item" but I splurge at Target hah. I probably go there once a week, even if I don't need anything because you never know when new things come in. I don't think there has EVER been a time I have left Target empty handed. It's pretty bad. Considering Target is only a 10 min. drive from my house, I tend to go there when I'm bored or because I just happen to drive by it. Seriously, Target has everything and I'm just in love with this store. You know you are too :-)

P.S - I reached 151 followers over the weekend! It amazes me that people are interested in what I have to say. Thank you ALL so much for being faithful bloggy friends and sticking around even though I've been a terrible blogger lately due to school. Since I've reached this many, there WILL be a giveaway going on as soon as school is over so STAY TUNED! Thanks again and I appreciate every one of you ladies :-) You're all so wonderful! xox

Well, your hair looks really good! And I always spend way to much at target! I can't pass up their sale items.. Even if I don't need them!

Yopu know my stance on hair! I hate being broke because of hair. It's no fun, and I'm so jealous of ppl who have naturally good hair.

Oh yeah, my biggest splurge is my hair!! Its basically the only thing I'll treat myself to every 6 weeks;)

Yes, I love Target too! and like Tara, I buy all kinds of things just because they are on sale! It is very hard to leave Target without shopping bags!

I have plenty of splurges, luckily for me, my hair is not one of them. That's one way I justify the rest of my splurges. I think hey, I only get my hair cut about once a year. I can buy that cute pair of shoes now, right?! haha

Yikes! Thank goodness I don't get my hair colored - I'd be broke! I spend $20 every 6-8 weeks for a trim!

And I LOVE Target. Our closest one is an HOUR AWAY, so I go whenever I can :)

i'm prettttty sure you look gorgeous as either a blond or a brunette! (maybe i'm bias?? ;)

i've never colored my hair, but my haircuts alone are $95 a pop! quasi's haircuts are $85 and he's (obviously) a guy! oh the price we pay for beauty!

i seriously can't get out of target without spending a minimum of $30. and i'm lucky if i only spend 30!

congrats on all your followers!

I spend WAY too much time in Target. I can go in there for one thing and easily leave with $50 worth of stuff. Best. Store. Ever.

I used to have to do the hair splurge too before I got married. Now, conveniently, my sister-in-law is a stylist. I didn't realize how much I used to pay for hair related things until I didn't have to anymore!

Ugh I have a hair appt too coming up and I keep thinking about it in the back of my mind because I have to go every 6 weeks for partials and cuts every other time too! AND I like like 10 mins walking distance from Target and I have to pass it no matter what to get home. Car does auto pilot there from time to time...

If my mom wasn't a hairstylist I would totally splurge on my hair / hair products too!!

First of all, you have such a cute blog! Now following!

Secondly, I splurge on my hair too and I think it's worth every penny! Good stylists and colorists are hard to come by, so I don't mind paying a little more to get the job done right!

Have a great day!!

Here I am shocked that I spend about $45+tip on a hair cut, style/blow dry and shampoo. I can't imagine how much I'd spend if I had them color my hair. That being said I think that splurging on your hair is a good thing. I've always tried to baby my hair so it's definitely something I would spoil :)

Target - forgetaboutit. I have to stay away when I KNOW I shouldn't be spending my money on fun stuff. I love that store! Great picks!

I am with you on the hair! I always spend waaay to much money. Last time, I was there it was from $250-$300. The only thing I had done was shampoo, trim, tons of foils for highlights. They said they couldn't give an all over color, because the color wouldn't pull through, and they didn't want to bleach it. At my salon, just a trim and shampoo is $60 alone. It stresses me out spending that much money! I don't go back as often as I should, but I would be broke :(

I also had blonde hair when I was born, and when I was five, it changed to medium brown. Why?!?!?!
